Charity

Ctac selects charities to support each year. This year's charities and the overview of previous years are provided here.

Team Samen Sterk

Eveline is the five-year-old daughter of SAP Fi/Co Consultant Jenny Smeets. She has ataxia telangiectasia (AT). This very rare neurological disorder significantly impairs Eveline’s motor skills.

In 2019, Jenny and her husband Dirk got together with some other parents to establish Team Samen Sterk. Jenny says that this non-profit organisation raises money to support children and adults with this type of rare neurological disorder. “The money can go towards support in and around the house, such as shopping and garden maintenance, or towards practical help in the classroom. It will allow parents to spend more time with their child to do fun things. That’s so important, as patients like Eveline have a severely reduced life expectancy.”

Jenny says that raising money is difficult in these Covid times. “Our family has spent most of the time at home since March 2020, so we’re delighted that Ctac is supporting us at this difficult time.”

End plastic soup

The Ocean Cleanup is a non-profit organisation with a big mission: to develop advanced technologies that remove plastic from oceans, seas and rivers. Ctac has chosen this non-profit organisation as one of the charities we will be raising money for in 2021. This choice was partly based on our ‘Conscious’ core value, which means that we want to treat our planet sustainably. At a later stage, we may also give The Ocean Cleanup technical support to maintain their IT infrastructure and deal with other IT issues.

A small team consisting of Eric van der Linden, Kirsten Withagen and Bob van Dal coordinates Ctac’s corporate social responsibility campaigns.

We have also supported these charities:

2019: Alzheimer Nederland foundation
2018: SKOV
2017: Vicki Brownhuis
2016: Nursery school in the Gambia
2015: War Child
