SAP ERP Central Component (SAP ECC), launched in 2005, is the predecessor to SAP S/4HANA and is an on-premise ERP solution commonly known as SAP ERP. SAP ECC integrates information from each area of your business with all other areas. If anything changes in the sales, SAP ECC updates the change in all the other relevant business units, such as the inventory.

SAP ECC has had various enhancements over the years. However, development on SAP ECC has now been stopped following the arrival of its successor, SAP S/4HANA. A transition to SAP S/4HANA is therefore likely in time.

A roadmap from SAP ECC to SAP S/4HANA

If making the switch to SAP S/4HANA isn’t on your roadmap yet, it’s important to know that SAP will now only provide vital updates for SAP ECC. In addition, full support and hotline support will stop after 2025. It’s therefore wise to consider a gradual transition to SAP S/4HANA. After all, your organisation deserves its own construction plan that takes into account your strategic goals, the current IT architecture, customers and the ecosystem in which you operate. We’re here to help.

Benefits of SAP S/4HANA compared to SAP ECC

  • User-friendly user interface (SAP Fiori)
  • Real-time embedded analytics
  • Standard integration components
  • An exception-driven approach
  • Lower IT costs, better stability and fewer disruptions. Traditional ERP issues such as batch latency and manual processes are now a thing of the past

SAP ECC simplifications and transition to SAP S/4HANA

Opting for S/4HANA means choosing process optimisation, innovation, greater customer satisfaction and more ease of use. As an SAP Platinum Partner, Ctac is happy to assist you in your successful implementation of SAP S/4HANA. If you want to continue developing SAP ECC or carry out simplifications, we advise you to do so in line with the future system. This will prevent you doing the same work twice and needing to apply changes at a later date. We would be happy to help.
