AI only delivers value when employees embrace it in their daily work. That was the starting point for Bovemij’s Microsoft Copilot journey. Together with Ctac, they deliberately chose an approach where adoption is not imposed from the outside, but grows organically from within the organization.

A key role in this journey is played by François Peeters, Product Owner at Bovemij. He leads the AI adoption initiative and acts as an internal ambassador for change. “We didn’t just want to implement Microsoft Copilot. We wanted it to become part of the way we work. That means taking ownership yourself and translating the technology into your own processes.”

From Technology to Everyday Use

Bovemij’s ambition was clear: increase productivity while maintaining control over security and data. The focus was never on the technology itself, but on how people use it. “The real power doesn’t lie in the tool, but in what employees do with it. That’s why we made adoption a priority from day one,” says François. Together with Ctac, Bovemij implemented a train-the-trainer approach. François received extensive training from Ctac and subsequently took the lead in rolling out Copilot across the organization. Training materials were tailored to Bovemij’s specific processes and day-to-day work. “We truly made it our own. When people recognize their own work in the examples, they are much more likely to start using it.”

Adoption That Delivers Measurable Results

The initiative quickly moved beyond pilot projects. Today, hundreds of employees are actively working with Copilot, and adoption rates are demonstrably high. What stands out is how employees continue to discover new use cases themselves. “Colleagues are building their own agents that save as much as eight hours a week. Those are not minor improvements. They make a meaningful difference in daily work.” Customer service teams have experienced the impact as well. Initial skepticism quickly turned into practical application. “They even developed an agent that helps customer service representatives find the right information during customer conversations with significantly fewer clicks. That allows us to provide faster and better service to our customers.”

Applying AI Where It Creates Real Value

At Bovemij, new use cases emerge directly from the business. Teams apply AI to their own processes, ranging from administrative tasks to more specialized activities. “It works because the ideas come from the teams themselves. They know where time is being lost and where improvements can be made.” At the same time, security remains a key requirement. Copilot operates within Bovemij’s existing Microsoft environment, ensuring that company information remains protected and aligned with existing roles, permissions, and governance policies.

Continuous Learning and Improvement

Adoption is not a destination but an ongoing process. François acts as both AI ambassador and facilitator throughout the organization. “I help colleagues get started, but more importantly, I show them what’s possible. Once people see the opportunities, they continue exploring on their own.” Training is available throughout the organization, from reception staff to senior leadership, and is increasingly tailored to individual teams. “Everyone looks at AI from a different perspective. Those different perspectives help us discover entirely new applications.”

Less Administrative Burden, More Time for Value

In a market where workloads continue to increase and talent remains scarce, Copilot helps Bovemij work smarter. “AI removes much of the repetitive work. Tasks take less time, creating more room for activities where people truly add value.”

Achieving More Together

This Everyday AI partnership between Bovemij and Ctac is characterized by short communication lines and a shared focus on results. “Ctac actively helps us identify how we can get more value from what we are already doing, without immediately requiring major new investments.” That pragmatic approach enables Bovemij to continue developing step by step while increasing the return on its Copilot investment.

Ready for the Next Phase

The organization is already preparing for the next stage of growth, with more users and deeper integration of AI into daily operations. For François, the direction is clear: “AI will play an increasingly important role in our industry. By investing in adoption today, we ensure that we are ready for tomorrow.”
