INNO is an iconic Belgian department store with premium shops in prime locations. It offers customers a unique shop-in-shop concept. Each brand has its own space in the building and its own sales staff, creating a unique and personal customer experience.

Innovation is deeply ingrained in INNO’s DNA. This is also evident from the origin of the name: the department store was founded in 1897 under the name L’Innovation. Later, this was shortened to INNO. For a long time, INNO was part of the German Galeria Kaufhof. When INNO became independent in 2019, it marked the start of a large-scale IT transformation. Ctac guided the retailer in building a future-proof foundation with SAP S/4HANA, omnichannel solutions and a seamlessly integrated architecture. This ensured a consistent customer view and an optimal customer experience.

'At the start of this project, we knew that it had to be done quickly and well. Ctac made that happen. We were live within seven months, without compromising on quality.' Nicolas Dienst, CFO INNO

An independent INNO needed a solid digital foundation

When INNO separated from Galeria Kaufhof, it had to build a new IT landscape. SAP S/4HANA was chosen as the ERP system, supplemented by an innovative POS system and integration system. Ctac was entrusted with implementing the systems: SAP S/4HANA and its own XV Retail POS system, including hosting from its own data centre. The first phase of the project was ambitious: go live within seven months. Thanks to tight project management and adherence to the SAP- standard, this goal was achieved. In 2020, the project was honoured with the Fast Delivery Award at the SAP Awards.

Scalable expertise and trusted collaboration

What started with an ERP implementation grew into an intensive collaboration. INNO and Ctac now work together in several areas: from integration to omnichannel strategy and innovation. INNO uses a complex landscape that includes SAP, Salesforce, Miracle and a PIM system. Together with Oliver IT, part of the Ctac Group, Ctac ensures that all systems integrate seamlessly and run smoothly.

INNO benefits from the broad expertise within the Ctac Group. The organisation knows that Ctac can help in nine out of ten cases. Thanks to a broad team of specialists, each with their own expertise, Ctac is the logical first point of contact for IT issues: from ERP and cash registers to integration and innovation.

From integration to innovation: an omnichannel customer experience

INNO’s IT strategy is entirely focused on omnichannel retail: a consistent customer experience, both online and in-store. Ctac ensures that all systems communicate with each other. Stock information is immediately available. Customers order online and collect their products in-store. Employees process payments on mobile devices, directly at the customer’s location. Everything is linked in real-time thanks to the SAP Integration Suite, managed by Oliver IT.

Ctac forms the integration heart of INNO. From API calls to cloud connections: all data flows run smoothly and are transparent. In addition, Ctac is working with INNO to explore the use of AI on the SAP BTP platform. Think of applications for stock optimisation and personalised marketing. Ctac also offers support in the area of change management.

The strength of Ctac Group: faster response times, broader support

The collaboration with INNO underlines the strength of the Ctac Group. This consists of Ctac Netherlands, Ctac Belgium, Oliver IT, Purple Square, DIGIMIJ and Technology2Enjoy. Each has its own specialism, but together they are responsible for the success of their customers.

INNO has complete confidence in Ctac. Communication lines are short, right up to C-level. Ctac is involved in planning at an early stage and asks critical questions where necessary. This mutual trust makes the collaboration effective, even in complex projects. With Ctac as its IT partner, INNO continues to grow in a challenging retail landscape. INNO dares to invest and innovate. And Ctac ensures that those innovations make a difference. Every day, for employees and customers

'Ctac is much more than an IT supplier to us. They help us make strategic choices and ensure that our business is ready for the future.' Armin Devender, CEO INNO
